About This Activity
On World Environment Day, the NSS unit of SVCP mobilised over 150 student volunteers to plant native saplings along the Chandigarh-Patiala National Highway and in the college campus. The initiative, carried out in collaboration with Punjab Forest Department, focused on planting species such as neem, peepal, and arjun — known for their medicinal and environmental value. Volunteers took personal responsibility for watering and maintaining planted saplings.
