About This Activity
The NSS unit of SVCP organises a large-scale blood donation camp each year in collaboration with Rajpura Civil Hospital. The camp serves a critical healthcare need in the region and has become one of the most successful student-led health initiatives in the district. Trained medical staff supervise the donation process, and all donors are provided with refreshments, health check-ups, and donor cards. The drive consistently exceeds its annual target.
Objectives
- Address the critical blood shortage in the Patiala district
- Encourage a culture of voluntary blood donation among youth
- Build awareness of blood group compatibility and donation eligibility
- Support nearby civil hospitals and thalassemia centres
